What’s up guys, Vanessa here with some more sweet news from Destin, FL. There was a comp there last month. This comp was one of the last Flow Series stop. This event was a little bit different for me. I had arrived at 10am thinking still had sometime left to practice but I was wrong… :( Practice had ended at 10. I still placed 5th against the guys, which I think is pretty awesome :) … But I still managed to place 1st in the women’s body boarding division :D … Stay tuned for news from my next stop in Pennsylvania.

The contest in California went really well. I ended up making the finals in both divisions once again. I qualified first on the bodyboarding division to the finals but ended up getting 4th and I though I had won the stand up division until they announced that I got second by a half of point difference. I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed at first but I know I rode well so I am still stoked.

Hey you guys, Vanessa here with some exiting news from Cali. Last month, during the weekend of June 28th a Flow rider competition took place on Saturday at Raging Waters, San Dimas, California. Raging Waters was the 3rd stop out of the 13 events in the tour. The tour is called the Wave Loch Flow Series 2008.

During this wicked event at Raging Waters, in the Womens Flow riding Division I took 1st place. After the comp. was over on Saturday me and some friends drove down to San Diego to ride B-Max or also know as Bruticus Maximus. To me riding B-Max is one of the most heart exhilarating and terrifying flow rider ever made. You can also go and check out all the stops, pics, and stats of the rider at wavetheplanet.com.

On Thursday, March 20th, Adrenalina will host the 2008 Central Florida High School Flowrider Contest inside the Florida Mall. Adolescent teenagers from Cypress Creek, Dr. Phillips, Freedom, Boone, and Olympia High will shred the Flowrider for fame and fortune… but will not make them eligible for a varsity jacket. UGP team riders Kip Williamson and DeGroot will perform a flatland demo, and some product giveaways will also go down. Rider check in is at 4:30pm and the event starts at 5:00pm, so skipping school is not encouraged. Chad DeGroot and myself did a flatland demo a couple of Saturdays ago for a new store called Adrenalina which carries the UGP line pretty hardcore! If you ever wanted to find a killer store that has a wave pool, has a complete bike shop, and carries the UGP line, head to the Florida Mall in Orlando and check out Adrenalina. It’s a chain of stores starting to pop up all over the US, and it’s a nice change of pace to see action sports make their way into the mall with such an impressive and massive store. From the minute we showed up the staff was very helpful and super friendly! The original plan was to ride in the store, but when we showed up, the set up was in the main hallway where you walk into the store.

UGP is proud to announce a wonderful addition to its already massive team of professional riders! Sean Silveira and Vanessa Arroyo are both amazingly talented Flowriders here in Orlando, FL and UGP is stoked to have them in the family. They both bring an incredible style and surplus of tricks to the table. The only flowrider in the area is at Adrenalina in the Florida Mall. Be on the lookout for UGP goods in Adrenalina very soon….
