If you’ve been to our events section today, you might have noticed a few changes. We’ve tweaked it to make it a little easier to keep track of events.
First off, and most notably, we’ve made it easy for you to embed event fliers. By now you’re surely used to copying and sharing videos you like with embed codes. Now, you can do the same thing with events listed on our events page. Just select the embed code for the event you want to share, paste it wherever you want, and help spread the word.
We’re also using the hCalendar microformat—if you’re not sure what that is, don’t worry. What it means is that you can easily add any event to your calendar, whether it’s Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple’s iCal, or others. Right now, you need the Operator add-on for Firefox, but both Internet Explorer and Firefox will be adding this feature soon.
That’s all for now. Enjoy the new events section!
