Roller Derby Anyone?

I mean, who doesn’t like watching women plow over each other while going in circles on roller skates? We sure do, so we decided to flow some product to Kim Maier of the Rockits. She recently sent over an update, and this is what she had to say:

“My home team the Rockits are 2-0 so far this season, with wins over the Atomic Bombshells and the Garda Belts. Next week we play the Dagger Dolls who are also 2-0. Going into this game I was injured, I fell at practice 2 days before and smashed up my knee pretty good. Lots of ice and advil got me going good enough to play on Saturday.”

“The game against the Gardas was all about defense. At the half the score was 12-7 in favor of the Rockits. We went on to win- I don’t remember the exact score it was something like 34-15. This was the lowest scoring game in Minnesota Rollergirls history. Overall as a league our defense has improved tremendously. I jammed and blocked a lot, I had some awesome hits and a few spectacular misses, one miss so spectacular I landed under the Garda bench.”

“All of our games are webcast on B2 networks. $9 to pay per view and its pretty awesome derby footage.”
